Lake Mburo
Rwonyo is a nice area to watch the mosque swallow, blackbellied bustard, bare-faced-go-away bird, and Ruppell's starling. Lake Mburo is significantly blessed with over 315 bird species, and is likely the best spot to view acacia-associated birds.
Home to Uganda's zebras
A small but beautiful park, Lake Mburo National Park is conveniently adjacent to the highway that runs from Kampala to the parks in western Uganda. The Precambrian metamorphic rocks beneath it, which are more than 500 million years old, make up the oldest and smallest of Uganda’s savannah national parks. 350 different species of birds live there, along with zebras, impalas, elands, buffalos, oribi, Defassa waterbuck, leopards, hippopotamuses, hyenas, topi, and reedbuck.
